Key Assignments are relevant, performance-based learning activities that require students to demonstrate their skills and abilities, rather than simply providing memorized answers. Key Assignments are designed to close the gap between school lessons and meaningful skills needed in real life. These projects encourage students to reflect upon past experiences and learning, analyze different approaches for solving problems, and synthesize concepts from their learning.
Key Assignments or other authentic assessments are an essential element to the QISS educational program and are held at the end of each quarter or unit of study.
