QISS Weekly Update: 2017-2018 Week 28

Dear QISS Families and Friends,

Wow! It has been a busy week for QISS preparing for the “Gross” Science Fair and the “Say Something” Art Show this weekend. The school development office would like to thank those of you that have shared our story with your friends and the Qingdao community. The Open House event was another success. We are always happy to tell people about our great school and the great things happening at QISS!

哇！忙碌又充实的一周过去了，这整一周QISS都在在忙着为“Gross”科学节和本周末的“Say Something”艺术展览做准备。学校发展部想要感谢那些与朋友们分享我们的故事的人。

本周举行的开放日也获得了圆满的成功。我们很开心的与大家分享了学校发生的事情。

이번주 저희는 “Gross”사이언스 페어와 일요일에 있을 “Say Something” 아트쇼 준비로 바쁜 한주를 보내고 있습니다. 학교에서 주관하는 여러 행사들을 지역사회에 홍보해주시는 학부모 여러분들께 깊은 감사의 말씀을 전합니다. 이번 본교 입학설명회는 성공적으로 잘 치뤘습니다. 본교의 다양한 행사에 긍정적인 피드백을 공유해 주셔서 감사합니다.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The “Say Something” QISS Art Show is this Sunday, April 15^th from 1pm – 3pm at school. Come support the QISS art department and our students.

QISS艺术展“Say Something”将在这个周日，4月15日下午1点—下午3点在学校举行。

欢迎来支持学生和QISS艺术部。

“Say Something” QISS아트쇼가 4월15일 이번주 일요일 오후 1시부터 3시까지 본교에서 열립니다. 그동안의 학생들의 작품이 전시되는 이번 행사에 많은 학부모님들의 참여 부탁 드립니다.

Next Tuesday, April 17^th from 9am – 10:30am is the G9/G10/G11 re-enrollment meetings held in the QISS Cafeteria. Please make time to attend. The re-enrollment package was sent home with your child on Monday, April 9^th.

下周二，4月17日上午9点—上午10:30，在QISS餐厅举行G9/G10/G11注册登记会议。

请抽出时间来参加。4月9日星期一，孩子已经将注册登记表带回家了。

4월17일 다음주 화요일 오전 9시부터 10시 30분까지 9/10/11학년 재등록관련 회의가 교내식당에서 있습니다. 해당학년의 학부모님들께서의 참석 부탁드립니다. 재등록관련 서류는 4월9일 월요일에 이미 각가정으로 학생들을 통해 발송 되었습니다.

There will be no PEP talk on April 17^th in lieu of the grade level meeting.

4月17号没有PEP talk，取而代之的是年级会议.

학년별 회의로 인하여 4월17일 이번달 펩톡은 없습니다.

SCHOOL LIFE

In Kindergarten, Ms. Jola and her kids developed their cultural sensitivity while discussing and demonstrating different traditions from their home countries.

在幼儿园里，Ms. Jola和她的孩子们在讨论和展示来自他们祖国的不同传统，充分展示他们对文化的敏感性。

유치부 Ms. Jola와 학생들이 본국의 다양한 전통문화를 표현하고 토의함으로 각 문화를 이해하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

在本周的QISS科学节上，Ms. Gina的一年级学生在做他们的黏液实验。

1학년 Ms. Gina의 학생들은 사이언스페어 참여를 위한 SLIME실험을 하고 있습니다.

In grade 3, Mrs. Merrick works in small group setting with students on measuring liquid using liters and how to find the volume of different 3-dimensional shapes.

在三年级，Mrs. Merrick在小组中工作，学生们用公升来测量液体，以及如何得到不同的三维形状的体积。

3학년 Mrs. Merrick 3차원 도형의 부피를 찾는 방법과 리터를 이용한 액채측정을 소그룹을 통하여 지도하고 있습니다.

In grade 5, Mr. Z and Mr. Jay’s students are to share a book of their choice. Each month, a few students prepare a presentation for the class to share their views of the book and field questions from their peers.

在五年级，Mr. Z和 Mr. Jay的学生们在分享他们所选择的书。

每个月，都会有学生为班级准备一份读书报告，分享他们对这本书的看法和回答来自同龄人的问题。

5학년 Mr. Z와 Mr. Jay의 학생들이 그들이 선택한 책의 내용을 서로 공유하고 있습니다. 매달 학생들은 본인이 선택한 책에 관한 프레젠테이션과 그의 관한 질문과 답변을 학생들과 나누고 있습니다.
