QISS Weekly Update: 2018-2019 WEEK 2

Dear QISS Families and Friends,

Happy Friday! Week 2 is complete at QISS. The students continue to shine in the classroom. The teachers have reported many examples of compassion and sensitivity to our new students and new staff. We are proud of our students and the good character traits they exhibit each day at QISS.

周五愉快！学校的第2周已经结束，同学们的表现还是那么的出色。老师们向新来的同学和老师展示了很多同学热情和敏思的一面，我们真的为这些孩子们感到骄傲。

즐거운 금요일 입니다! 개학후 두번째 주가 지났습니다. 학생들은 학급에서 최선을 다하는 모습을 보여주고 있습니다. 교사들은 새로운 교사들과 신입생들에게 재학생들이 보여준 배려심과 협조에 관한 좋은 이야기를 많이 전달 받았습니다. 저희는 QISS학생들이 좋은 인성이 쌓여가는 모습을 매우 자랑스럽게 생각하고 있습니다.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Director’s Swimming begins this Saturday, August 25^th from 9am to noon. Bring your parent ID card for entry into the school.

校长家庭游泳活动将于本周六8月25日9点至12点举行，请参加的家长携带入门证前来学校。

디렉터 가족 수영 프로그램이 8월25일부터 매주 토요일 오전 9시부터 12시까지 교내 수영장에서 진행됩니다. 교내 출입시 학부모님께서는 학부모 통행증을 꼭 지참해 주시기 바랍니다.

We are excited to tell you that our new lower school music teacher, Mr. Austin Engel, is arriving the first week of September. Please help us make him feel very welcome.

我们高兴地向大家宣布，新聘请的音乐老师Mr. Austin Engel将于9月的一个星期到校工作，请大家一起欢迎他的到来吧。

저희는 유초등부에 새로 부임하는 음악교사 Mr. Austin Engel이 9월 첫째주에 수업을 시작하심을 알려드리며 이곳에서 잘 적응하실수 있도록 환영해주시기 바랍니다.

Open House nights are approaching. Lower School parents will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teachers on Tuesday evening, September 4^th. While the Upper School parents will meet the teachers on Wednesday evening, September 5^th. More information will be sent out next week.

学校开放日（夜）即将开始，小学部定于9月4日周二晚上举行，中学部定于9月5日周三晚上举行，届时家长们将有机会面见孩子的各科老师。详情下周发出。

오픈하우스 나이트가 다가오고 있습니다. 9월4일 화요일 저녁 학부모님들께서는 자녀의 담당 교사를 만나실 기회가 있으며 중고등부는 9월5일 수요일 저녁에 담당교사를 만나보실수 있습니다. 오픈하우스에 관한 자세한 서신이 다음주에 각 가정으로 발송됩니다.

Lower School students attend Chinese language & culture class every day at QISS. Grade 1 students in Miss Tina’s class being little teachers.

在QISS小学部，孩子们每天都上中文课。这是1年级同学在Miss Tina的中文课上扮演小老师。

Students at QISS enjoy free time throughout the day to help them recharge their mind and bodies for learning. Grade 4 students enjoying a game of basketball.
