Dear QISS Families and Friends,
Week 21 of the 2016-2017 Academic Year has just flown by, not only because it is a short week, but also because it was highlighted with an absolutely spectacular China Day celebration. The annual QISS China Day celebration is an important event in the school calendar. As our host country, it is important that we take the time to appreciate and learn about Chinese history and culture. China Day allows our students an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture through the performing arts, which boosts both their academic and personal development.
Thank you to all of the parents who attended these festivities. Thank you to the Chinese department, led by Ms. Jessy Yin, for producing and coordinating such a wonderful event. Most of all, thank you to our students, teachers and staff who performed throughout the day.
We wish you a very safe and happy Chinese New Year. Whether you are staying in China or travelling abroad, Happy Year of the Rooster! XIN NIAN KUAI LE!
新年快乐
